It was magical and we came home feeling so full of life and loved on! The team at HIXorangebeach went above and beyond to make sure we celebrated Mabel in a big way!

I have to share about our arrival because it was so fun walking in and having the team recognize Mabel & welcome us! We came in the building & as soon as I gave the sweet receptionist our reservation number Nikki came out from the office, greeted us by name & told us the team wanted to gift us beach chairs & umbrella setup for our stay! I highly recommend using this service! It‘s a game changer & makes coming and going from the beach so much easier. We’ll never lug our own chairs down again! haha.
When we entered our room we found a bed full of gifts for Mabel & a card signed by all of the staff with sweet birthday notes! She felt so special which made my heart explode! They gave her gifts for her birthday, a cooler for the beach, drinks and yummy snacks for our stay. Above and beyond! That spoke volumes to me about the team they have at HIXorangebeach!
We stayed in the Beach Front Double Queen & it had all we needed and more! The view speaks for itself but of course I have to comment on it! Nothing beats sitting on the balcony with a hot cup of coffee with the ocean breeze rolling in.
Some features in out room include -
Balcony, Flat-screen TV, Laptop Work space for remote learning or working, Microwave, Free WiFi, Refrigerator, Beautiful Ocean views & my personal fave.. A single serve Keurig in each room! Such a simple touch but it makes a stay so much more enjoyable.
They have a delicious complementary breakfast served every morning & have taken all the precautions needed for these wild times. They still have all the yummy breakfast options you’d hope for but the staff serves up what you request in a to-go container and paper bag! Little contact and lots of seating options between the main cafeteria area & sitting room down the hall. Mabel’s favorite part was the cans of Apple Juice!
Not only were we treated to extra special perks but we happened to go over Labor Day weekend to celebrate Mabel's 5th birthday so they had so many special things going on!
Fireworks at the pier, Caricature Portraits, Balloon Artist & Live Music everyday poolside. The pool is beautiful! It has an infinity style that flows into another level of pool along with a hot-tub.
I brought along birthday goodies to throw a party for Mabel in our room. Our birthday tradition is that Mabel wakes up to a decorated house so I couldn’t let her down! Last thing she said before bed on the 4th “Are we going home tomorrow so everything can be decorated?” I’ll share all about that in another blog to give the tips and tricks! Things I wished I brought & things I wont bring next time! I’m happy to report I forgot the tape but the girls at the front desk saved the day & let me borrow theirs! 🤪
We were also surprised and spoiled with a Sunset Dolphin Cruise with Sail Wild Hearts. We saw a Sea Turtle, Dolphin & a million jellyfish! The cargo nets on the front were super fun to enjoy the views on & the team was very friendly! Mabel even got to drive the boat! I can’t wait get back out there!
